The Golden Laughing Buddha

Budai is a Chinese folkloric deity traditionally depicted as a fat bald man wearing a robe and wearing or otherwise carrying prayer beads. He carries his few possessions in a cloth sack, being poor but content.

His figure appears throughout Chinese culture as a representation of contentment.

Budai is almost always shown smiling or laughing, hence his nickname in Chinese, the Laughing Buddha.

Here the image of a sitting pose of Budai has been represented as a glass painting with gold out-liner along with decorated golden leaves in a dark maroon background.

The painting has been framed in a matching maroon colored thick fiber frame and hanged onto the wall for peace, prosperity and happiness.
