Love Birds on a Tree Branch

A Lovebird is one of nine species of the genus Agapornis. They are a social and affectionate small parrot.

Their name stems from the parrots' strong, monogamous pair bonding and the long periods which paired birds spend sitting together. Lovebirds live in small flocks and eat fruit, vegetables, grasses and seed.

Seven species are native to the African continent, while the Grey-headed Lovebird is native to Madagascar.

The painting depicts the images of two such colorful birds sitting on the branches of a tree. Bright shades of royal blue, orange, red and golden yellow glass colors are used to paint the birds. Shades of green and yellow fills the leaves.

The painting, done on a frosted glass, generates a glowing effect. Bound with a golden fiber frame the painting can be easily considered as a piece of decor for a drawing room wall.
