Ganesha Etching Effect on Glass

Lord Ganesha can be represented by  various forms. Here one such form is represented as an etching effect by glass painting.

Here transparent glass liner has been used to create the entire painting. The liner has been applied as uneven blotches that generates the etching effect on drying.

Etching Glass Effect

Etching refers to the technique of creating art on the surface of glass by applying acidic, caustic, or abrasive substances. Traditionally this was done after the glass was blown or cast.

Glass etching is usually done at home using etching cream on glass with the help of stencils curved out of vinyl sheets.
