Adaptation of a Fresco from Ajanta

This painting is an adaptation of a piece of art from the frescoes of Ajanta Caves. The fresco represents the image of Mayadevi, the Mother of Buddha located at Cave No. 2, Ajanta.

The background comprising of the embroidered pillars and the leafy platform gives the vintage feel to the painting.

The simplicity yet elegance of the painting comes from the use of vibrant colors.

The painting has been bound with a bright golden-maroon fibre frame.
